Literature Text

Down the narrow, desolate street,
He sat awaiting her presence.
Holding her amulet in his hand,
He mourned their vanished amour.

Succumbing to the thoughts of his heart,
The sounds of fatality echoed in the alley.
As the crimson ichor seeped from his soul,
Teardrops fell from the melancholy sky.

The smell of rain was stale from agony.
Out of the shadows, a cumbersome specter appeared.
The eyes that once glittered like diamonds
Were now filled with nothingness.

I like the detail and use the of words. Normally I don't read through the short poems, but this one I really, really like. You did an awesome job at expressing suicide by mixing it with the whole street theme and the alley. Very well done. A favorite.
